In 2017, it started with 10 games. In 2018, it grew. In 2019, Donna and Harry signed a five-year contract for the loft they now own...

 

In September 1981, Harry and Donna met at ages nineteen and sixteen. In January 1982, they were married. January 2024, they celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary. They have one son, Harry III, and three daughters, Heather, Sheila, and Rhea. Each now has a family of their own, welcoming six granddaughters and two grandsons into the family.

As a teenager, Harry started working for his father's painting company, Bell Painting. In 1996, Harry and Donna took over the company, which is now today known as Bell Painting and Wallcovering Inc. To date, it is still run out of Newark, DE, and is now shaping the third generation in taking the reigns.

​

Over the years, Harry and Donna have been able to travel to many different countries. Their passions manifested overseas as caring for children in need, teaching finance classes, and taking whatever comes their way headstrong.

​

Having been overseas for many years, Harry and Donna have come to see just how fortunate and blessed we are as Americans for the freedoms and safety that we have every day. After twenty years of overseas work, they decided to bring it home.

​

A Suite for Harry's Heroes was born on December 2, 2017. We are a self-funded organization, run out of Harry and Donna's home in Townsend, DE. We're honored to give service members the opportunity to attend sports games at no cost to them. Through our organization, servicemen and women have had the chance to attend the Philly Flyers, 76ers, Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins, and Phillies games free of charge and in the company of those who understand what a life of service requires. In 2023, Harry and Donna were selected as Honorary Commanders to represent the State of Delaware Police.

Harry and Donna always want to recognize and honor the commitment that others have made to give them the opportunities of this incredible country. Although no gift or words can ever thank our servicemen and women enough, A Suite for Harry's Heroes is our small way of saying thank you to the military, police, and first responders for our ability to live the American Dream.
